Sr. Designer
Job summary: BGSTR is seeking a talented and passionate Sr. Designer to join our team. The Sr. Designer will work alongside our design and creative leadership teams to develop a wide range of projects from initial pitch decks, to working in the pipeline to create assets for production. The ideal candidate is someone who is tapped into contemporary trends but also keeps an eye on the future and is invested in developing new mediums, styles, and techniques. As a creative problem solver, you will help develop stories through design across a broad spectrum of graphics initiatives, such as branding & identity, documentaries, show packages, promotional teasers, and advertising.
This is a full-time staff role with benefits and will require working onsite in our New York studio. Our office operates on a hybrid work model - work from home Fridays, in office Mondays - Thursdays.
Responsibilities
- Create highly engaging and complex motion graphic design for a diverse array of projects
- Create styleframes, storyboards, and assemble treatments for pitch presentations.
- Conceptualize and produce design projects with internal Creative Directors / Art Directors as well as directly with clients at times.
- Work independently on design projects, or as part of a larger team on the design-focused areas of some projects.
- Keeping up to date with advancements in motion graphics animation as well as new technologies and techniques as well as being on the pulse of contemporary trends in motion design.
- Able to manage time effectively and give accurate assessments of the workload and the time required to complete tasks.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in Design and Motion Graphics for film, commercials, and broadcast clients.
- Strong graphic design principles - typography, color theory, layout, and composition.
- Demonstrated excellent leadership skills across all levels, strong communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and confident in a fast-paced environment whilst juggling multiple projects.
- Ability to work within and inspire a team and also under your own initiative.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, both on a technical and creative basis.
- Strong time management & organization skills.
- Expert knowledge of the Adobe Suite.
- Knowledge of C4D preferred.
