The past few years have been momentous for us. We have more award-winning, diverse and innovative work than ever before -- a testament to the brilliant creatives, producers and passionate partners that put in the grind to make it come together. There’s a certain energy happening around here, and this new website is ushering in the new era of BigStar.
You will find imagery and development behind each project that calls attention to the advancement, from design boards and previs to the final product. But the new site does more than just show our work -- it lays the foundation to a stronger BigStar brand overall, and one that is reacting and subsequently evolving in tandem with the world around us. The provocative and timeless design BigStar is known for is effectively highlighted in individual projects, but the site overall speaks to a collective body of work and bigger picture that is bolder and more ambitious than ever before.
Some interesting features are customizable theme colors, headers or ‘eyebrows’, as our web-developers at OddCommon call them, and the playlist feature. Click the star next to the projects and hit ‘playlist’, you can create a custom link of one or multiple reels that can be shared.
The case studies in the Spotlight section are a bit more robust, and frequently include interesting Q&As with some ultra-talented folks who work at BigStar and other behind the scenes information from our producers, artists and clients.
Hot off the press with a new typography system, animation behavior, color palette and UX, we at BigStar are continuing the pursuit of great design.
