The 24 Hours of Le Mans is one of the crown jewels of international motorsports, and in 2023 NASCAR attempted to complete the grueling race using a classic American stock car.

BGSTR designed 'American Thunder: NASCAR to Le Mans,' the feature-length documentary from Prime Video about NASCAR's historic endeavor to bring an American stock car Chevrolet Camaro to compete against the futuristic Ferrari and Porsche prototypes and attempt to complete the grueling 24-hour challenge that is Le Mans.

Sport and design—two fundamentals in the BGSTR brand repertoire are the same fundamentals the team behind NASCAR’s endeavor to compete in the historic Le Mans race with an American stock car.

Design Exploration

We designed the graphics for the documentary to visually underscore the endurance required to participate in the race and inform viewers on their journey around the world during the work to compete.

Map Finals

Our final designs leaned into the sophistication of the racing cars and the elevated experience of the Le Mans race by branding the film with a premium visual identity. Congratulations to our partners at NASCAR and Prime Video on the premiere of the film—available to stream, now.
