Freelance Producer
BGSTR is seeking a strong, experienced freelance design and animation post-production producer who can fulfill and energize the wide range of exciting projects in our pipeline. The producer functions as an extension of the company and is the main point of contact, they will be collaborating with internal and external teams to organize, supervise, and elevate the progression of their assigned projects. BGSTR Producers oversee and manage BGSTR’s production process, from client contact and bidding to scheduling and delivery.
Possessing a strong sense of urgency and positive energy, a BGSTR Producer demonstrates the ability to work successfully within a fast-paced and collaborative environment to deliver accurate and top quality work on schedule and in scope while building lasting relationships and communicating effectively.
This role requires a highly professional demeanor and diplomacy when dealing with clients, production management, coworkers, and artists. The Producer works closely with the creative directors and reports directly to the VP, Head of Production while actively providing support and structure for the production team.
We are looking for a superstar communicator with a high level of dedication, a collaborative spirit and problem-solving skills. Experience is required, we are looking for a candidate that is not only ready to bring their own best practices but is ready to learn the BGSTR way of doing things.
This is a full time “in house” position. Along with all other in-house team members, the producer will be required to be on-site 10AM - 7PM Monday through Thursday and has the option to work from home on Fridays.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside Executive Producer, Head of Production, Creative Directors, and artists collaboratively for the entirety of a project and beyond.
- Ability to manage multiple projects from award through delivery at any given time.
- Manage/track budgets, assets, and schedules through the BGSTR pipeline as determined by the HOP.
- Work closely with the Executive Producer, HOP, and Accounting Team for all project finances.
- Manage approved schedules. This includes scheduling freelance holds, challenges, and bookings.
- Manage technical pipeline for projects in coordination with the Project Leads, Head of IT, and HOP.
- Responsible for QC’ing all final project deliverables before all postings and final delivery to ensure BGSTR standards are met.
- Responsible for maintaining an open line of communication with clients, vendors, and artists and managing expectations within budget and scope of work.
- Lead and participate in project kickoffs, and check-ins.
- Contribute and engage with the production system company wide.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience.
- Familiarity with design and animation - 2D, 3D, VFX, and compositing workflows.
- Familiarity with Adobe and Cinema4D pipelines.
- A strong understanding of post-production asset delivery pipeline.
- Positive attitude, contributing to overall studio culture.
- Able to work as a partner with Directors, Producers, Leads, and Artists.
- Creativity and a passionate interest in films, series, documentaries, branding and the entertainment industry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to adhere to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.
